Benjamín Vidargas Rojas
Is an Attorney at Law by the Escuela Libre de Derecho, 1981. He completed postgraduate studies in Corporate, administrative and Tax-Law at the Universidad Panamericana.
Associate Professor of Financial Law (formerly Monetary and Banking Law) at the Escuela Libre de Derecho, since 1988.
He performed various positions in Banco de Mexico, all of them related to the Central Bank´s provisions, approvals, enquiries, operations, supervision and monitoring activities towards the financial system (1981-1982).
General Counsel of the corporate-law division of Grupo Financiero Abaco-Confia, S.A. (1982-1988).
General Counsel of Regulatory and Contentious Affairs of Citibank Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (1988-2001).
At the request of the National Banking and Securities Commission, he undertook the position as General Counsel of Banca Cremi, S.A., in order to audit and monitor the Managerial Intervention that was being carried out by the National Banking and Securities Commission to such Bank (1995).

Legal vice-president of the National Banking and Securities Commission (2001-2008).
Managing Director for the Prevention and Institutional Control and Head of the Internal Audit division of Grupo Financiero Banorte Ixe (2009-2013).
He currently acts as legal and independent consultant of Credit institutions and other financial companies.
